Testaverde Fund Helps Long Island Tean

It was December 20th, 2005, just a few days before Christmas when Anthony Testaverde was checking his email for the Testaverde Fund.  Along with the regular holiday emails was a desperate cry for help from a South Hold, Long Island woman, Lorraine Haeg.  It seemed Lorraine wasn’t having such a happy holiday season.  In April 2004, her beautiful 19 year old daughter suffered a devastating spinal cord injury that had left her a high level quadriplegic.  Seems Lorraine was having a major problem with the local insurance companies that were trying to repossess her daughter's $8,000 air mattress.  Thankfully, the Testaverde Fund was able to purchase the mattress for this family.  Kim Haeg, a high school senior, had lost control of her car one night after returning home from her grandmother's house.  Kim was left for dead in a ditch, just miles from her South Hold home, where she lives with her mom.  Kim was taken to a nearby hospital with severe internal injuries and broken bones.  Kim was able to breath until the doctors impounded on her chest, thus leaving her a level 3 quadriplegic.  Although Kim faces a tough road ahead, she was able to start college in Fall of 2006 thanks to a voice activated laptop computer which was donated by the Testaverde Fund.  The Haeg family knows the Testaverde Fund will always be there for love and support.
