Joe
Testaverde goes on “surfin safari” in California |
On
October, 17, Joe Testaverde joined other handicapped surfing
buffs in Newport Beach, Calfornia to kick off the Wheels
2 Water program started by the Life Rolls On Foundation. Disabled
surfers from around the country gather together once a month
to get back in the surf or to begin surfing for those who
have never surfed before.
For Joe, who loved to surf before his injury, it was a dream
come true. “It was totally awesome to be back
on the water and riding those waves again. It was so
much fun, I didn’t want to leave”.
Life
Rolls On Foundation was started by Jesse Billauer from Pacific
Palisades, California, who was an avid surfer before suffering
a spinal cord injury in 1996.

on the Wheels 2 Water program, you can visit the Life
Rolls On Foundation website. |
