Yogi Berra
Yogi needs no introduction.  A Hall of Fame catcher from the New York Yankees from 1946-1963, Yogi boasts 10 World Series rings!  His personal meeting with Joe at his Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center, on the campus of Mont Clair State University, was Joe’s first trip after spending weeks in rehabilitation.  It was a day Joe would long remember, as Yogi spent almost 2 hours taking Joe and his family during a personal tour of his museum.

Beau Dietl
As a former member of the New York City Police Department (NYPD), Mr. Dietl is one of the most highly decorated detectives in the history of the department.  He later formed Beau Dietl and Associates, which has grown to be one of the largest investigation and security firms the world. 

Charles Gargano
Charles Gargano is the Chairman and Commissioner of  Empire State Development, an agency of the New York State Department of Economic Development

Bud Harrelson
All Star gold glove shortstop Bud Harrelson played on the 1969 World Champion Mets as well as their 1973 National League Championship team. Spanning a 29 year career as player, coach and manager in the Mets organization, Buddy also coached on their 1986 World Series Championship team.  He is currently senior vice president and co-owner of the Long Island Ducks.

Rep Peter King
Representing Joe’s community of Wantagh, Congressman Peter T. King, is serving his sixth term in the U.S. House of Representatives.  Calling Rep. King a “profile in courage”, the Long Island newspaper, Newsday, has said “King’s outspoken integrity sets him apart... He says and means what he says-a rare trait in Washington.”

Rev. Msgr. Thomas Hartman
Father Tom is known for his popular television show, "God Squad," co-hosted by Rabbi Marc Gellman.  A frequent guest on the “Imus in the Morning” program, Fr. Tom is also the director of Radio and Television at Telecare, the state of the art television center for the Diocese of Rockville Centre.  He is also an accomplished author and  Emmy award winner.

Steve Palermo
Steve Palermo is best known as one of the American League’s best umpires during the 1970s and 80s.  Steve worked some memorable games, including signaling “home run” on the infamous Bucky Dent shot over the Green Monster in Fenway during the 1978 American League playoff.  In 1991, his 15 year career was cut short when, while coming to the aid of a crime victim, he was shot, and paralyzed.  Through hard work, he has managed to walk again, and serves as an inspiration to millions.  Steve and his wife Debby continue to be very active in spinal cord injury.  Steve is now supervisor of umpires for the American League.

Phil Quartararo
Phil “Q” as he is known in the music industry is one of the nicest and most successful people in the entertainment industry.  With a nose for talent and with a 20+ year career in the record industry he has held executive level positions at a number of labels, including the position of president at Virgin USA and Warner Records.  Phil is now executive VP North America for EMI Music.

Rosanna Scotto
The anchor of Fox 5 News and a member of the Fox 5 team since 1986, Rosanna Scotto is a fixture in NYC.  Rosanna started her career with WABC’s Eye Witness News in the 1980s.  She also has a number of film titles to her credit, playing the role of a TV reporter.

Phil Simms
One of the NFL’s best quarterbacks, Phil Simms let the NY Giants to two Super Bowl titles.  He was named Super Bowl XXI MVP and had a 15-year NFL career before joining CBS Sports in January, 1998 as lead analyst for coverage of the NFL on CBS

Peter Testaverde
A highly successful financial executive, Peter Testaverde is a principal in American Express Tax and Business Services (TBS).   They specialize in the tax issues affecting hedge funds, offshore funds and other complex international financial tranactions.  Peter and his wife Katherine are involved in a number of charitable endeavors.

Vinny Testaverde
1986 Heisman Trophy winner and 3 time Pro-Bowl nominee, Vinny led the NY Jets to the AFC Conference Championship game against Denver in 1998, completing 31 passses for 356 yards.  Vinny was also under Center during the The greatest Monday Night Football game of all time, leading the Jets to a miraculous comeback against the Miami Dolphins in 2000.  Vinny has thrown for over 40,000 yards in his prolific 18 year career, and is currently the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, reunited with coach Bill Parcells.

Kent Waldrep
Injured in a football accident in 1974 while in college leaving him quadraplegic , Kent Waldrep vowed to one day walk again.  He became a leader in fighting for the rights of SCI victims and in the fight for a cure.  Kent was involved in the formation of several non profit research organizations, including the  the Kent Waldrep National Paralysis Foundation in 1985.  Kent was also instrumental in the in the writing and the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act in Congress.

Dr. Wise Young
World renowned research scientist, Dr. Wise Young is the director of the WM Keck Center for Collaberative Neuroscience at Rutgers University in New Jersey.  He is a rare breed, not only working on the forefront of scientific research, but also opening his lab and his heart to SCI victims.  He provides hope and inspiration that his work, along with that of others, will one day find a cure.
